Can-Con Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 I got mine at the same time as the first Batman movie was in the theatres so that would have been the summer of '89.
Lagib Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 One more bit of trivia; The kit is labeled "Boss Man" because Jo-Han was trying to tie it in with the then-popular Dukes Of Hazzard TV show. Boss Hogg had a white Caddy convertible on that show, but it wasn't a 68.

BIGTRUCK Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 And the '70 Cadillac is a real hard one to find..
disabled modeler Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Guess MY "Boss Hogg's" gonna be a '68.Yep the Boss Hog and Boss Man Cadillac is a 68.....I also have a 68 HT but the body and glass is toast. I love the 66-73 Cadillacs.
peekay Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Definitely a steal at that price. I love Johan kits and this is one of their finest. The engine bay and undercarriage aren't up to today's standards but everything else certainly is. Some earlier Johans had unrealistically shallow interiors, not so desirable on a convertible, but with this one they got it right, and the poseable steering is a plus. I did this one curbside years ago. I made the whitewalls and Cadillac emblem myself but it's otherwise box stock. Note the TV - a phone is also included.
Nova-ss Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Did they ever made a hardtop? I have couple convertible's like these and a 78 and 70 as well...great a gun kits to build...Chris

JoHan offered their '64 through the '68 Cadillac's as both 2-door hardtops and convertibles. I don't about before 1964, or after 1968.
BIGTRUCK Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 (edited) Yes they did. JoHan offered their '64 through the '68 Cadillac's as both 2-door hardtops and convertibles. I don't about before 1964, or after 1968. I just sold a '69 HT and still have a '60 Fleetwood and they had a '58 and '59 promo and they did a '63 in conv. and HT Edited November 13, 2015 by BIGTRUCK
disabled modeler Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 I would have loved to have the 69 HT Ken. I have their 59 4 door TH and 62 4 door HT ones,64 HT,66 Hearse badly damaged, and thinking the Ambulance built.
ChrisBcritter Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Jo-Han Caddies were all four-door Fleetwoods from 1958 through 1962, then deVilles from 1963 through 1970, along with the Eldorado coupe from 1967 through 1976. Then Coupe deVilles from 1977 through 1979.
