Danno Posted February 26, 2016 Author Posted February 26, 2016 What do you mean, 'four?' I count 13 on page 2 alone.
curt raitz Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Badges?...Badges? - we don't need no stinking' Badges!!!!!...OK I guess we do I'll be attending, so I will need a Badge after all thanx
gasser59 Posted March 4, 2016 Posted March 4, 2016 Sure can Art. I knew you were coming anyway so you've already beeb added to the list. For all of you other lurkers, step up to the plate and make arrangements to attend DSC this year. You won't be disappointed, I guarantee it.
Petetrucker07 Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 I'm gonna see if I can make arrangements with work to get me out there. All I need them to do is get me a backhaul that can deliver Monday morning. If I can get them to pull that off, I'll be there. I wonder how close I can get, parking wise, with a big truck? I'm sure that parking lot will be full. Maybe get there really early?
Greg Myers Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 It's an old Kmart building / shopping center and parking lot. Shouldn't be a problem.
Greg Myers Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 (edited) Hope this works https://www.google.com/maps/@33.6249624,-112.1322951,3a,75y,180h,64.15t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sQ_GuCnLvhCYuhbFT0Yvwzw!2e0!7i13312!8i6656!6m1!1e1 Edited March 6, 2016 by Greg Myers
Petetrucker07 Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 I've been to the venue before, a week after the show last year. I was just worried that there might a bunch of people there and there wouldn't be enough space available to park the truck. I'm not familiar with that area. If it were down in Goodyear, I wouldn't have a problem. I'll figure something out, if things happen how I hope they will.
gasser59 Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 There is plenty of parking available to park your rig. The parking lot is never that full.
Greg Myers Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Hmmm, maybe that's why Kmart couldn't keep the doors open.
Petetrucker07 Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 When are you gonna do the tags? When is it too late to let you know? There is plenty of parking available to park your rig. The parking lot is never that full.
gasser59 Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Its certainly not too late although I already have you on the list. We're a few weeks away yet.
Danno Posted March 7, 2016 Author Posted March 7, 2016 33 days away! Actually, the available parking will be a little less than last year. Big Announcement later today!
russosborne Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 How much later today Danno? It's already 7:30pm. Russ
Danno Posted March 8, 2016 Author Posted March 8, 2016 Ahhhh, so there is some interest! LOL. Got busy. Sorry. Hey, all! Just in case there's not enough built-in diversion and distraction for the day, our venue has some new tricks up its sleeves! Opening soon - and open during DESERT SCALE CLASSIC - is a brand new, 1/3 mile (outdoor) Rusty Wallace Karting Experience gokart track . . . with real, live, gasoline powered karts! So now, if shopping in the largest vendor swap meet isn't enough to entertain you during judging, or if the indoor electric karts (1/2 mile track) don't do it enough for you, or the clay indoor R/C track, or the slot car track, or the scale 1/4 mile slot car drag strip, or the arcade , or the NASCAR driving simulators, or the pool tables, or the boxing machines, or the snack bar, or the adult-beverage tap room, or the 8,000 square foot hobby shop, or . . . just visiting with your friends . . . well, if you can't find something to do . . . Be There! Saturday, April 9, 2016 -- DESERT SCALE CLASSIC MODEL CAR CHAMPIONSHIP AND SLOT CAR CONCOURS! 3401 W. GREENWAY ROAD, PHOENIX, AZ ~ At the SE corner of 35th Avenue and Greenway Road
