Greg Myers Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 No, not that one. A new mold, a new engineered kit, a modern issue, not that tired, worn out ,promo chassised thing.
Greg Myers Posted December 1, 2015 Author Posted December 1, 2015 (edited) Something new. Edited December 1, 2015 by Greg Myers
Harry Joy Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 A Mustang II coupe would be nice too!(Someone kindly linked to a resin one for me a while back, but I can't spare the coin for that at the moment - maybe after Christmas.)
oldcarfan Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 I would love to see them. I've been working on this one for a long time. It's a 67 AMT with the 65 roof section.
Snake45 Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 The body and related parts of the AMT '66 aren't bad at all. Even the stock wheel covers are pretty decent. Where the kit falls down of course is in the chassis/engine and, to a lesser degree, the interior. We really COULD use nice '67-'68 and '69-'70 coupes, though.
russosborne Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 I would love a 69 Coupe. That is the car I took my driver's test in while in high school. My first driveable car.Russ
Maindrian Pace Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 I did this '67 a long time ago, from an original issue AMT fastback. The conversion was a little more elaborate than I thought it would be, note the difference in the shape of the top of the 1/4 panel between fastback and coupe: Since then, a couple of resin casters have made '67 coupes available, some better than others. But I do have plans for this one, and so does the Master Caster. Just not exactly in this form.
FordRodnKustom Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Nice work there on your coupe conversion. I'd like to see that one finished!
Snake45 Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 (edited) I built this one from "that one". Nice! Ya gotta love an AMT '66 Mustang in Emberglow! Edited December 2, 2015 by Snake45
michaelbaskett Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 I've been asking Missing Link for a 69 Coupe to do the Border Bandit Mustang for some time now... I spoke with him recently at the Detroit show and he seems very receptive to doing it... He's just so darn busy, it's gonna be a while.....
Fabrux Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 I built this a while back using the roof from a '69 Cougar. I might yet strip it down an re-do it as my skills have improved and I didnt paint it a veey flattering colour.
JTalmage Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 I happened across a Revell 70 mustang grande/convertible kit today on ebay... never seen one before
FordRodnKustom Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 I built this a while back using the roof from a '69 Cougar. I might yet strip it down an re-do it as my skills have improved and I didnt paint it a veey flattering colour. Wow that's a good looking conversion. I agree about the repaint. Perhaps a Grabber color?
