Greg Myers Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Oh definitely, box art was a dead give away... still a let down. Can anyone tell what kind of tires on on the deuce? Rears look like cheater slicks... I love the wheel/tire combo on it... Cheater slicks, very similar to what came in the Rat Roaster Wheels and tires
Junkman Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 (edited) How difficult would it be to make one from the Moebius kit?For example, if MCG decided to furnish photoetchery for the Belvedere scripts? Edited December 11, 2015 by Junkman
Mr Stock Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 This one might be interesting. How difficult would it be to make one from the Moebius kit?For example, if MCG decided to furnish photoetchery for the Belvedere scripts? There is a 65 Belvedere A990 drag kit coming out from Moebius/Model King early next year, Shaun Svendson has some awesome build up pics on his facebook page it will be the "Melrose Missile" car, there is also an altered wheelbase version due next year.
Mr Stock Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 (edited) Sorry let me correct that its not the sedan body as above, photo credit to Sean Svendsen Edited December 11, 2015 by Mr Stock

There is a '65 Belvidere I A-990ish inspired (as it's not an actual A-990 package) car coming from Moebius directly, that's separate from the Model King Drag specific release.

MGL Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Back to the topic at hand, just in case Revell does read this board, I would buy the So-Cal Speed Shop double kit.
Sledsel Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 I'd be buying up those Marauders and Thunderbirds at an alarming rate!!!!
Dave Van Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Been pushing that one for years.......I could see Revell doing it like they did the 77 Monte Carlo kit.........It would sell as well if not better
Sledsel Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Been pushing that one for years.......I could see Revell doing it like they did the 77 Monte Carlo kit.........It would sell as well if not better I'd say yea, but I am sorry to say, Revell been lacking in their accuracy lately. Would be a really good seller IMO. Factory buckets, console, gauge package mandatory. Could be 77 or 78, different grill and tail lights, a 79. Stock, NASCAR, Lowrider, or dare I say........ Donk
Dave Van Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 That Elmo Langley Thunderbird is at Charlotte Motor speedway. I saw that car at his shop about 5 miles up the road near my then home. The anniversary edition with no C pillar window would be my choice.......like your low rider and NASCAR racer......plez
Sledsel Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 From my understanding, they used that car til the end
Junkman Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 (edited) That car is still being used today. It's also the reason why I would buy at least two kits. Edited December 15, 2015 by Junkman
Sledsel Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 That car is still being used today. It's also the reason why I would buy at least two kits. Very cool...... I thought I read it was but could not confirm. Of course it is being used, they were very good cars, I drove a few to the ground and rarely had to repair anything. If someone did this kit, they could easily do an LTD II and Cougar also. If it ever happens, my shelf will look like a dealership from the 70's
Junkman Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 That car gave my entire adult life some sort of constant. That, and the same music they play, when it is starting races.I have no idea what the mileage is now, but in all those 38 odd years, I have seen it breaking down only once, when a fanbelt snapped.
gtx6970 Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 Sorry let me correct that its not the sedan body as above, photo credit to Sean Svendsen what tires are going to be in this kit
