Hi,

This kit was fun to build but I would consider older ones like this advanced in that they require a lot of prep to make look right.  Plus the directions aren't as polished as new kits of today.

It didn't turn out quite as I imagined but its good enough to move on.

I would personally drive this car around town looking for my next lunch if you catch my drift.  Few things say "come mess with me" like a beefed up muscle car in pink.

Again, I learned gobs from this build, mainly to do a moch build for proper look and fit.  Also getting the hang of spray paint, will take a bit more but I feel a little better about it.

Thanks cobraman.

You'll notice one of the hood pins missing as it fell off during the photoshoot and I was over it already.

Also the wheelie bar had a few mishaps and looks horrible but again, I was over it.

I learned what I needed and moved on.

I think the more models I have under my belt, the better I will become.

I think it looks awesome Brian. That blue looks great with the pink. It's a learn as you go hobby, at least it is for me, you should see what I built two years ago compared to what I'm doing now, noticable difference.

Are those velocity stacks from the kit? They look great.

You don't see many of these built so it's nice to see one done this well. That color is not for me, but it fits surprisingly well on this car, especially with those blue areas. Good work with the engine, too.

Thanks guys, much appreciate it!

The kit comes in 3 versions; street, custom and drag.

I made the rear wheels by combining the drag and custom.

The fronts are the street version.

Brian, did those stacks come with the kit?

Hi, oh sorry, you sked that previously.  Still having morning coffee :)

Yes, the stacks come in the AMT re-release of the kit.

Its pretty cool, the rear printed tires are awesome.

Thanks KB!

While I had fit the hood to the body, once installing the glass it changed!

I was like WTF, paint etc was already done.

My next build will be a thorough moch up and man, things simply get wack at every stage.

There is one that still races at the local drag strip here. I know it runs a chevy v8, probably a 350 or 383 stroker. Very cool build.

Hi,

Thank you for all the nice comments.

My next 3 builds which are in progress;

1) Revell Porsche 356 dragster version (bashed with a Wynns Jammer).

2) Redoing the Chapparal 2D CanAm

3) Building a box stock Dino 206 which I already did but messed up.
