I've never wrapped any of them, but there are some years where I'll call something a gift to myself.  This year, I missed the first offering of lifetime Rodders' Journal subscriptions, but got one the second time around.  After snagging the four issues I was missing earlier in the year at a very good price, I'm all set.  I don't have a lot tied up in the first 67 issues (especially compared to others like me who didn't get in at the start), and won't need to spend another dime from here on out.

My wife asked me what I wanted for Christmas

I replied that I'd like to have the cute little redhead that works at the pub we go to weekly.

She said  "No".

I usually celebrate the end of my Christmas shopping with a little something to myself. This year was a little bigger than usual. I picked up a new Line6 Firehawk for my guitar rig. Been pretty fantastic.

Women can be so narrow minded that way.

I never buy anything for myself...and it does not matter if I get anything from anyone else ether...we live on a very small budget..just happy to get everyone else something they will like or be able to use.

My ex wanted Raoul the pool boy for Christmas one year, but she didn't ask...just went out and got him.

I'm sincerely hoping he's able to support her in the style to which she became accustomed...'cause BOY will his life be hell if he can't.

In her absence and happily for me, my after-Christmas bills are no longer life-threatening.

I think I'll go buy myself something.   :D

Pity.

See if she'll come to NNL-East and introduce her to me! I don't have a wife to spoil all the fun!
