Belugawrx Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 Bought this quite awhile ago, Tamiya kit,..sort of snap together,.. no engine. I've always loved the lines of this car, I now have another Tamiya, and a couple older Fujimi's I had it entered into a group build at another site and got this far,.. As you can see, I dropped it ...I mean Dropped it,.. I looked at it and didn't want to waste those rims on that snap together,.. So... Undersides not bad,..alittle paint and a wash,... Thanks for looking in Q, C + C's welcome Cheers to a happy holiday and lots of bench time
wayne swayze Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 Nice job on that snapper! The undercarriage looks great!
bill_67 Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 Great job Bruce, I'm glad you lowered it, the stance looks perfect to me.
Belugawrx Posted December 22, 2015 Author Posted December 22, 2015 Thanks, everyone Bill Yea I think it looks better down there, and the wheel tire combo comes back into scale,.. Merry Christmas everyone! Cheers.
GeeBee Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 Very nice, you can't beat the classic black on a 911
GTJUNIOR Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 The 1980's 911 turbos are still the best looking of the 911's IMHO. You have done a great job on this build.
Dann Tier Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 The 1980's 911 turbos are still the best looking of the 911's IMHO. You have done a great job on this build. I agree with Tony and Geoff!! -no better wheels for that than what you put on it. Very nice work!!!!
Twokidsnosleep Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 The stance is awesome!!!!Like to hear how you went about dropping her so nicely and at what build stage do you lower....ie early on or near the endscott
Belugawrx Posted December 24, 2015 Author Posted December 24, 2015 Thanks everyone Scott, I do all of the changes ie: stance, at the beginning, before any primer or paint or assembly.Dry fit, Dry fit, Dry fit is the key. This lowering was fairly easy, with metal axles you only need to enlarge the openings through the chassis to allow the axles to slide up.
