SlotDaddy1963
took these of a local florist's vehicle, parked intact since the mid-70's I've been told. I would dearly love to find a resin body to convert a Revell 65 pickup!
Crazy Ed
Heck, I wouldn't mind having THAT! I had 2 1960 Panel Trucks. A Standard 1/2 ton and a Long bed 1 ton. Both were Drivers Seat only and I tossed in an overstuffed chair for passengers (back then we didn't worry much about Safety and such. But on the Modeling side I also would like to see a decent '60's Chevy Panel.
dodgefever
Nice photos, thanks for posting those. It's a '63, by the way - different grille and wraparound windshield.
Tom Geiger
That is a pretty cool survivor. I'd love to have that one too! I'd leave the paint and lettering, get her running and maybe a set of cool wheels! There was a resin of that body style (maybe not the exact year) that was done by R&R. They are no longer around since Ray died a few years ago.
mikemodeler
Yeah, R&R offered a panel version, I bought one and the front end warped on me. I will have to check, might still have it as I was trying to sell it at some swap meets this year. If you are interested in it, PM me and I will go through the boxes and see if it is there. Chuck Most
AC compressor and an alternator (as opposed to a generator). Hmmmmm.... would those have been factory issue for a GM truck of this vintage?
jeffs396
Nice 1/2 ton panel! Chuck, 1963 was the first year for the alternator. As far as the A/C (and heat), its aftermarket on this panel. Notice the factory block-off plates. Someone needs to buy that truck and put it back on the road!
SlotDaddy1963
True enough about the A/C... the lady who let me take the pics said her grandfather had it installed right after he bought it, because of the flowers the delivered with it
disabled modeler
That is a nice one!...a friend of mine has a 65 panel same color but no where near as nice of condition.
Longbox55
If you can find one, AAM also made a resin of a panel in that body style. IIRC, it might have been a '60.
Atmobil
Thanks for posting the pictures. I did buy both a panel and a carryall from R&R some years ago. I see that the panel is still listed on the site. http://www.resinrealm.net/Star/RRGalleries/RR_All.html
Petetrucker07
I wish they'd cast the Carryall again. I still have the 66 Carryall my grandpa bought new. Factory 4 wheel drive. It's a family member. Everyone called it Big Bertha. I'd love to build a scale version of it.
maxwell48098
I took one of the R&R kits and lengthened it for this rescue truck. A.J.

Art Anderson
If you can find one, AAM also made a resin of a panel in that body style. IIRC, it might have been a '60.1962, actually.Art
