I'm working on replicating the Danbury Mint model I missed out on and draws big money on the secondary market. I have it polished, the chassis and interior are done and the engine is almost complete. Quick question, if I BMF this before I clear it will it affect the foil in any way? Thanks for looking, Geno.

Thanks Dave, the color is Rustoleum Gloss Real Orange, it's the closet match I could find. It looks even closer in person than the pics show. Merry Christmas Dave.

The clear coat will not effect the BMF, however, the foil will look more realistic with out clear coat over it.

It is also very easy to accidentally rub through the clear while polishing, and this will usually happen on drip rails etc, if this happens,

you will see a difference in the finish of the BMF  if it is clear coated.    This is just my opinion, others prefer to clear the BMF, it is up to you mate.

OH, and the build it looking VERY nice too.
