Old Buckaroo Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 (edited) Something quick and easy with no real direction other then a mid - late '70's owner operator truck. PS Clayton - I shortened the frame to be contraire Edited January 22, 2016 by Old Buckaroo
Petetrucker07 Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 Ha! This will look great when you get it done. What's done so far looks great.
kilrathy10 Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 Man....That looks really good....I'm liking this, already......
Old Buckaroo Posted December 27, 2015 Author Posted December 27, 2015 Thanks guys, Check this out, with a little creativity and a razor saw a 86" AeroDyne is possible. (something I was messing with while paint is drying)
Petetrucker07 Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 How bout that. A K123 Aerodyne. A what if build is in order I smell.
angelo7 Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 Hey Sean, "been there, done that myself". Looking forward to this one. Do you have a visor for it?
gatorincebu Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 Sean, I like your shortened frame !! I also like your idea for a K-100 Aerodyne . Will be watching both of these projects. Be Well Gator
Brinx Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 (pulls up a chair)....these are always fantastic!!
Old Buckaroo Posted December 28, 2015 Author Posted December 28, 2015 I failed myself on the left side sleeper and did not seal my tape well. I will have to fix that or outline it . Gator - I am not sure if I will do the Aero conversion, but it would be easy enough to do.

Gator - I am not sure if I will do the Aero conversion, but it would be easy enough to do. Well you have the option of doing it or not. I think it would be a cool project. And I know you could ,would do it justice. Be Well Gator
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 You always pick the best paint schemes! Looks great!!!
cowboy rich Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 I think it's looking really good Sean. The bleed through is the thing I don't like about stripping over rivets always have some problem.I also like the 123 aerodyne thoughts.Rich
Superpeterbilt Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Cool project Sean. I like the configuration, and the color scheme is just my style.
GearUpJammer Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Alright Sean, love the color and the scheme!I've probably said a thousand times how much I love the 70's trucks.Reminds me of this one.
Tesla Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Great project Sean and the paint job looks really nice!
gino Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 nice paint work sean ! I like that paint scheme
Ken Gilkeson Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 o/o my favorite type of build. not a big stretch fan here. looks good and in proportion. ;-))
Old Buckaroo Posted December 29, 2015 Author Posted December 29, 2015 Thanks guys for commenting, Rich - I only failed on the drivers side, the off side was perfect. My mistake was getting distracted and not going back over the edge with a blunt toothpick. My wife had just got home from town and I went out to open the gate. Ken - I am with you on the stretched trucks. Vic - that is a great looking truck. Since I was a teen I liked that style of paint. I had to do mine backwards though as I was real low on white primer. I had to paint the white first then the blue. It would of been way easier to paint the blue first, but why am I kidding myself - I never do anything the easy way
k100 Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Looks good Sean I like the old school rigs . Here is my take on the 86 aerodyne ,its another unfinished model in the stash.
