cowboy rich Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 That's coming together really nice, I'm liking that short nose and stubby stacks
Mopar - D Posted February 25, 2016 Author Posted February 25, 2016 Thanks for the comments I'm going to try and get some paint on it this weekend.
Mopar - D Posted February 27, 2016 Author Posted February 27, 2016 (edited) I painted the front grill with black primer and been working on the front bumper. Edited February 27, 2016 by Mopar - D
72 Charger Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 Very tough looking Dan what colours are you thinking?
Mopar - D Posted February 28, 2016 Author Posted February 28, 2016 The cab will be blue metalflake with a tan and ivory interior. I'm hoping to have some blue sprayed on this weekend.
Mopar - D Posted February 28, 2016 Author Posted February 28, 2016 Thanks Gino, I BMF the Dodge letters before painting and also made some brackets to hold the oil filters and I have the cab in the paint booth drying with the blue paint!
Superpeterbilt Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Vey nice progress Dan. I dont think I would have done anything different. It looks great. I saw in the pics that you swapped in the rear springs from the WF dual drive kit. Thats a nice touch.
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Looking very nice! I don't think that I've ever seen a Luberfiner on each side like that. Nice touch.
gatorincebu Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 (edited) Real good looking progress. Looking forward to seeing the paint job! Be Well Gator Edited March 5, 2016 by gatorincebu
Mopar - D Posted March 1, 2016 Author Posted March 1, 2016 Here's some color! The blue found some scratches in the body so I will be working them out and I have to replace the E - BMF
Ken Gilkeson Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 Dan, you got one tough lookin' great build going on. ;-))
Old Buckaroo Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 Dan - this just gets better. Oh yeah, real trucks have scratches in the paint
SergeB Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 Hi Dan!What paint you painted the cockpit?Very nice color!
gatorincebu Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 Very nice looking paint job ! Nice color. Be Well Gator
Mopar - D Posted March 6, 2016 Author Posted March 6, 2016 Sergey I used model Master GTS Blue Pearl. Thank for the support I've decided to cut out the front grill and use this PE mess grill. I used Black BMF on the dash and rubbed off the the black on the gage rings and Dodge emblem. I've got the clear coat drying now. I painted the backs of the head lights before spraying the clear on.
SergeB Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Hi Dan!Excellent color and excellent quality of the painting!Good idea about the bars. But there is quite a complex pattern on top of the grid. How it will simulate?
gatorincebu Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Dan, your clearcoat looks awesome. I like your dash treatment. And that mesh for the grill should look great. Be Well Gator
