cowboy rich Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 When I was trying to touch up the black primer I was at the end of the rattle can and it started spitting and messed up my smooth finish. That's what I get for trying to get every last drop of paint out of the can. So now I'm stripping it down and getting a new can of paint this is a one step forward and two back. oh no! I hate when that happens. Yet did it myself a few days ago trying to get one more coat to get some more depth with a metalic oh there's enough here, wrong! Ok so I can wet sand that out I said, nope. It's looking really nice Dan to bad about the primer. Rich
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 Looking Great!! Sorry to hear about the paint. I thought that type of thing only happened to me.

Mopar - D Posted May 15, 2016 Author Posted May 15, 2016 Was able to clean up the dump body and respray it. Also sprayed the sub frame yellow and chromed the bumper. I also have the host in place for the dump. Worked on cleaning up panel lines on the cab too and some more primer on it I think I'm close with the clean up on the cab Going to work on getting the glass cut and fit before I paint

Tesla Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Nice work on the sub frame and it looks good in yellow. Did you use the Uschi chrome powder for the bumper? Great results!

cowboy rich Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 That turned out nice, what metalizer is it? I've tried both aluminum buffing and non-buffing but was not happy with the result (probably on me new to using them)
Superpeterbilt Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 It just keeps on getting better! The body looks great Dan, as does the bumper.
Mopar - D Posted May 21, 2016 Author Posted May 21, 2016 Updates on my progress I've painted the frame, added some chrome the hydr tank straps and more clean up on the cab pluses I drilled out the resin head lights so I can install the glass lenses and also cut out the front grill. Going to start working on cutting the glass out for the cab and maybe some color on the cab.
