team116 Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 I'm trying to replicate this truck. It's the Ford Racing Technologies FR100. I can't find wheels like these anywhere. They are 18's. Also, if anyone would be willing to make those hood decals for me I would pay. Lol.
MeatMan Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Cody I've never seen those for sale before, but perhaps you could make something like this work. I don't know how much you wanted to spend but there are a couple of these on eBay. Another option would be to buy aluminum sleeve or cut the middle out of some and fabricate styrene inserts. I don't know how you would get the spun aluminum look though. Good luck.
team116 Posted January 1, 2016 Author Posted January 1, 2016 Thanks. I'll give it more thought. For the spun aluminum I was just going to strip them and paint them flat silver. I figured that would be close enough.
Petetrucker07 Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 I think Pegasus makes something close, in chrome. You'd just have to strip it and paint it.
Jantrix Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Parts by Parks makes a nice set. You can find them at a few online vendors.http://xtremescaledetail.com/categories/category/31-parts-by-parks

Casey Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Just to note, those are technically spun aluminum wheels covers/discs, and not an integral part of the wheels themselves. Parts by Parks makes the nicest spun aluminum discs IMHO, but I think the largest size they offer is 16", and I'm not sure if that's in 1/25 or 1/24 scale. It looks like you might need 17" discs to replicate those on the truck, as they do not extend out to the edge of the rim/wheel lip. Any 18" wheel will do since it'll be mostly hidden, save for the outer lip.

Did I understand you right? I know it wouldn't be exact but close.
