tbill Posted June 13, 2016 Author Posted June 13, 2016 thanks guys! the excavator is now all yellow [have had it for quite some time now, waiting for the perfect project to pair it with, along with the trailer, lol], and tonight i put the final coats of clear on the cab/hood/sleeper, so with luck, i can start decals tomorrow, and maybe wrap this up [or be close] by the end of the weekend
Tesla Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 I'm impressed with how this kit builds out and what you've done with it. Excellent work Tom!
Mopar - D Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 Tom your KW is coming along nice and looks good with the trailer and excavator
Canso65 Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 I really like how this is coming along Tom.Looks great.Rob
tbill Posted June 17, 2016 Author Posted June 17, 2016 thanks everyone. got a bit more done the other night, hope to spend some time this weekend on it, not really a lot left to do, just all the little bits and decals, all major assemblies are done. stay tuned

tbill Posted June 19, 2016 Author Posted June 19, 2016 it's almost there... shouldn't be too much longer on this one
Mopar - D Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 Tom your on the home stretch now you have it looking sweet those decals are a nice touch.
tbill Posted June 20, 2016 Author Posted June 20, 2016 done-da-done-done...... finished it up today. pretty decent kit overall, the decals were a bit tricky, and the kit chrome was pretty bad- lot of debris in the plating. the poor chrome worked out ok though, as i striped most of it as i felt the truck really wouldn't have been all chromed up as a work truck bound for long desolate hauls across the outback. i also swapped out the kit wheels and tires for wheels and tires from Double Take Replicas, i think the wheel/tire swap really made the build. anyway, here it is, thanks for looking
angelo7 Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 Man everything looks right ! Those tires are really sharp.
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 I like this one better than any Australian rig that I've seen! Great Work!!
gotnitro? Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 Looks great tom !!! Truck looks ready for serious hauling duties now, stripped of all the shiny bling !! The tire wheel swap really compliment this truck tooQuestion, are those marker lights on the hood corners in front of the wheel arches?
SpreadAxle Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 It looks nice with the new wheels and tires. And yes, from what I read, the truck is too long for Australian specs.
tbill Posted July 1, 2016 Author Posted July 1, 2016 thanks guys Jeff, yes, those are marker lights, and yes, i totally forgot to do anything with them, every time i looked at the hood, i kept thinking i had to do something about those and never did..........i still have to do some touch up here and there, so when i get to that i will fix those
