pcm1977
For my next build I wanted to do an Ohio State Highway Patrol car. However I know the paint is silver, but does anyone have an idea as to the exact silver color? Also how is the blue in those lights done? Is it transparent paint? espo
Maybe someone from Ohio can provide you with the exact color of Silver they use, but it may just be the standard Silver Mt. from Dodge. If you have some clear plastic lenses for your safety lights I would think that Tamiya X-23 Clear Blue would work fine. You may have to use a couple light coats to get the desired effect. I would use the brush rather that the spray and paint on the inside of the lens rather than the outside.
bismarck
Model Master German silver would be a close match. We have a patrol barracks close by with those exact cars. Edited January 19, 2016 by bismarck
GLMFAA1
I will get you the real color from some of my contacts, What are you using for your model, The Lindberg Dodge is an older model and the OSP had that year as a test and they were white units. The light bar is all blue and Tamiya transparent is what you want to use, There are two different brands of light bars being used. here is the 2015 body greg
pcm1977
Actually I was going to make a Chevy Camaro Pursuit car. While to my knowledge the Ohio State Patrol does not have anything like this, I just thought it might be cool. I am using an AMT USA-1 '10 Chevy Camaro Coupe kit I got off eBay for a steal a couple years back. I am just going to put different decals on it. Search around the site for stuff that you might find useful.Good resource, In regard to the Bill Bozo decals you need the 1/43rd scale 'flying tire' to fit into the door line of the dodges or Camaro, and then the 25th scale for the lettering, Items that he missed is the K 9 lettering and the new license plate, a 'ace' plate would be great.greg
