charlie8575 Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 What a neat little kit. This will be in the "seriously considered" list.Charlie Larkin
Dave Van Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 I got my ICM G4 Mercedes today a day early......I will make a new post as soon as I have time.....but very cool kit!!
CometMan Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 That fire truck would look pretty cool in a dio with the chemical hose truck Gabriel did out of metal! They just couldn't be right next to each other, the Gabriel truck was 1:20.

Harry P. Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Nice to see someone making new brass era models. Ditto times two!
Tom Geiger Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 The fire"truck" is 1/24. The 1917 WWI model T ambulance on the same catalog page is to be 1/35 armor scale.I hadn't bought the previous two 1/24 Model Ts, but the light commercial ones talk to me!I love both! How can we persuade them to do the ambulance in 1/24 also? We do live in interesting times!
russosborne Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 I suspect the initial price in the US will be somewhere in the $50-$60 range, but Squadron is already discounting the two earlier ICM Model T kits, so who knows? Art Ouch. Thanks Art.
Dave Van Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Watch and wait......I got my 1/24 Mercedes G4 ICM kit shipped for 40. And the T can be found under $40 shipped.
russosborne Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 Thanks, But I am usually limited to what I can get with the 40% off coupon at HL. But this is on the list now for when I win the Powerball. Russ
Art Anderson Posted January 31, 2016 Author Posted January 31, 2016 Watch and wait......I got my 1/24 Mercedes G4 ICM kit shipped for 40. And the T can be found under $40 shipped. Yup, the rise of the dollar VS the fall of the curreny of other countries!Art

stavanzer Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 Has anyone seen any thing about the Tonka Kits?I've wanted them, but they go for Stupid $$$ when they can even be found. I've always wanted that Winton. Where the heck did the tooling for these kits go?

I've always wanted that Winton. Where the heck did the tooling for these kits go?I have never heard where or if the tooling is still around. Being owned by a toy company tool disposition is a little different.....they are in the habit of scraping old tooling faster than kit companies. It could be sitting at a tooling company of it it went over seas it might be part of that Subaru you saw today!
niteowl7710 Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 This kit popped up on the Japanese vendor lists this morning with an "After November" release date. ICM usually distributes globally to all locations at the same time (as opposed to RevellAG kits hitting Europe 45 days before the U.S., or the 4-6 month lag between U.S. releases and their Asian distribution). So you will probably be able to ring in the New Year with a new fire apparatus. With the exception of Squadron who occasionally firesales ICM kits, the cheapest way to get their kits continues to be via Ukrainian distributors on eBay.
Mike999 Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 (edited) Not sure if everybody knows this - but the Model T in the TONKA "Four-Alarm Call" kit isn't really a fire truck and doesn't have any fire equipment. It's just a basic 1913 Model T Touring Car, molded in red. It does have an engine, and some other nice details. And 4 firefighter figures. I found that kit cheap at a local flea market, with the real wood and glass display case. Untouched with all inner bags sealed, but in a pretty ratty box. Here's Anthony Hazelaar's great build of the TONKA kit: http://www.drivehq.com/file/df.aspx/publish/tonhazelaar/wwwhome/model-t-1908-1927.html Edited August 23, 2016 by Mike999 Error
charlie8575 Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Ooohhh...we'll need to get one or two of these for the shelf. Charlie Larkin
Nova-ss Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 I'm not into fire trucks, but a normal truck for the era would be great..are they out yet?....Chris
