Twokidsnosleep Posted June 14, 2016 Author Posted June 14, 2016 Can't wait to see it finished. I think you're doing an outstanding job on this. Thanks Tony, very kind of you. It has not been an easy journey with her I can tell you that much!!
GTJUNIOR Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 These tough builds are usually the one's we treasure the most, once they're done!
Harry P. Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 These tough builds are usually the one's we treasure the most, once they're done! Tony is right! The harder the process, the more satisfying the result. This one will undoubtedly have a starring role on your display shelves.
Twokidsnosleep Posted June 14, 2016 Author Posted June 14, 2016 Very good point gentsI teach that to the kids about working for something means more than just being given it
Twokidsnosleep Posted June 21, 2016 Author Posted June 21, 2016 (edited) Worked on the exhaust system on weekend. Replaced brass with aluminum tubes and did my thinned, flared edge trick Trying to get a figure to fit in the cockpit...I don't think Tamiya and Revival 1/20 scale coincide???!!! So a step forward, but them I wrecked my solder on the brake handle and rear brake lines....two steps back Edited August 7, 2017 by Twokidsnosleep
Twokidsnosleep Posted June 28, 2016 Author Posted June 28, 2016 (edited) I have ordered a retro driver, Jimmy Flintstone midget driver to be specific.I have one somewhere in my packed up mess, but can't find him and clearly these Tamiya guys are not going to work.Hopefully the scale works out. sjordan2 Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 Nailed it. And you did a great job on the safety wires. Worth all your effort!
Harry P. Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 The safety wiring really brings this model to life.
Zoom Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 You have done a great job with that car. Very nice.
Twokidsnosleep Posted August 16, 2016 Author Posted August 16, 2016 Thank you gentlemen I plan on revisiting this in the future and refining a few items, hopefully with a little diorama. As I have said, just need to move onto something else to clear my head.Makes me think that when I do start the Pochers I will keep a little sideline project to go to when I want to light the Pocher on fire

Twokidsnosleep Posted August 16, 2016 Author Posted August 16, 2016 Thanks guys and Cato, tell me you haven't wanted take Mr Pocher out to the back alley and beat some sense into him...aka the other "Pocher Beating"
Cato Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 Thanks guys and Cato, tell me you haven't wanted take Mr Pocher out to the back alley and beat some sense into him...aka the other "Pocher Beating" Well, you're partially right. Early on, when I was just trying to 'assemble a model' it was frustrating. That led me to seek better ways than given to do things. After a while I realized 'why should I stick to a stock model?; I've had to improve and change so much anyway?' MMC suspension, cutting, resizing and coachbuilding followed. THAT led to 'I don't like these doors or seats; I'll make my own !' Now I'm casting a critical eye on the hoods; Lawd knows where this will lead..........
Bugatti Fan Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 Scott, I fell upon this thread recently, a few years on from when you started it, but must comment on what a lovely model you have built from that old Casadio kit.

Thank you MFH is coming out with a 1/12 scale T35 soon and I am pondering if I need two kidneys or not?
Bugatti Fan Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 Scott, I too have been drooling over that new MFH T35. £525 here in the UK.... Don't know what the Canadian Dollar price would be though, A few years back I did a 2 week coach tour in your neck of the woods out from Vancouver in a big loop to Jasper in the Rockies and back via the Inland Passage to Vancouver Island and had a little time in Victoria. You certainly live in a nice part of the world!

So many great areas of the world to see, and we take our own backyard for granted
