CometMan Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Hello everyone, I bought a AMT/Round 2 '56 Ford Victoria kit last week, when I opened it it had a rather strange deformation in the bottom rear section of the right side where the door and quarter panel meet, there is actually a section of plastic missing that almost looks like a thumb indentation, there also seems to be an inordinate amount of flash on the body. Just curious if anyone else has had the same problem with this kit, and your experiences with getting replacement parts from Round 2?
Snake45 Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Let R2 know and give them the chance to make it right.
Ace-Garageguy Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 it sounds like what you're referring to is a "short shot". It can happen for a variety of reasons, and it's just that not quite enough molten plastic got squirted into the mold. It's a well known phenomenon and R2 will surely send you replacement body.
Roncla Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 I got one from Plastic Models a couple of weeks back and its fine. No flash or deformations any where.
gardnerpag44 Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 If Round 2 don't come thru for you PM me as I have a couple extra's in my stash
cobraman Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 I had a problem with a R2 Nascar Cyclone a while back. I contacted them and they said they were sending me a new kit but they never did. Perhaps you could have better luck.

I'd get in touch with them again if I was you Ray.....I had issues recently with a kit I bought from an online seller ( Returns not possible due to shipping costs ) and they took care of the situation ASAP....Just Sayin'
snacktruck67 Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 I have had good luck with Round 2, Lindberg and Revell. I almost got the entire chassis and components from Lindberg. Similar successful results from Rd2. Lindberg's results were the best. Any of these companies will always make it right.
