I have to guess the judges had some hard decisions and it ran a bit long, I had to leave before they presented awards due to a family commitment.

an interesting side note; the Vulture funny car was a Car Model magazine cover car and the El Matador model on display was entered by the builder of the 1:1 "Matador 2", Terry Jones collaborated with Bill Cushenberry on how to replicate a faithful El Matador and succeeded quite well.
