Nice 65, I have one of those too, it needs some work though.

The photo doesn't do the 66 justice to be fair, Ive just stripped the paint off and it looks a 100% better

Wow...cleaned up nice!

That rare original annual '63 Vette is worth saving just for the flipping headlights! I have one in MUCH worse condition I'm going to try to raise from the dead.

You and me both!

Scored a couple of really cheap ones recently. Handy when the glue is not bombed all that much. Needed the rally wheels off the Revell '68 Vette, but when prying one wheel/tire off, it dawned on me that the entire chassis & interior tub was never glued in place, just friction-fit. Couldn't resist posing it as a jacked up thing. Needed the Monogram Chevy Luv for the stepside parts and the dash. It's crooked in every direction, but there's really only about two spots holding the chassis to the cab, its engine is rattling around loose in its location and the whole front facia fell off during shipping, and will fall off again the moment I pick it up.

Two new ones this week for me, Riviera's pretty nice apart from the seats and custom wheels, the MPC Toronado needs a bit more work !

I won this on ebay, and came in the mail Today. Now I need a 77 Monte Carlo to restore the roof of the 74 Olds.

With the 4-door version being reissued ad nauseam , replacement parts should be easy to find . I can't remember which agencies had the 2 door models with 'A38' ( Police Car Conversion ) , but they were powered by the 400 big block ; think : Force 440 that MPC released in c.1978 .

Found a couple more glue bomb pics on the 'bucket. These are awaiting complete rework, even as we speak.

Nebraska State Patrol for sure.

There were others, but I can't recall who right now.

That's it ! Nebraska ! I knew that it was some agency in that region ; Washington came to my mind , but I wasn't sure .

Imagine finding one of those bad boys ! I wonder if they were , in es , a 2 door version of the typical 4 door [ WK41U7A / U8A ]  ( e.g. , Certified Speedometer , rubber mats , extra welding / bracing , cast iron K-member isolators , etc. , etc. ) ?

I had to dig this out of storage, it was a glue bomb purchased to replicate my father in laws 1964 Buick Riviera.I restored it back in 1993. At the time he owned a car just like it. As an annual kit the 1964 was modified into the1965, and the 1964 was hard to locate. I built it out of the box until I got to the motor. Here I added as much detail as I could muster. The air cleaner is hand painted to match his motor. I'm not this steady anymore. Too much coffee I guess. I sent the chrome off to Chrome Tech to be replaced. I wish I had before photos. But that wasn't as easy to do back then as it is now.

Got any pics of it as a glue bomb? That's what this thread is about. Maybe we'll start a restorations thread later....

I'd be interested in the rest of that Luv if there's nothing you have planned for it...

I hear ya, annoying when a person needs just a couple of parts off an out-of-production kit, and the bulk of what's available are big dollar complete kits or ones parted out at obscene prices .... and nice when an affordable bomb shows up. Look out for a PM in a bit.

I didn't know this kit existed, I wonder how hard it would be to turn it into a 78 cordoba?

My understanding of the A38 police package is that is was available as a whole on nearly any model.

Oh baby!

Not sure what your plans are for marrying the Monte and the '74 Cutlass.  Note that the Cutlass is an "S" model, with the semi-fastback roofline, while the Monte's roof (c-pillars and rear window) are more formal. The Cutlass Supreme did share the Monte's roofline/rear window, but shared the same B-pillars and door glass with the Cutlass S and 442.

In comparison, the B-pillars in the Monte (and the Grand Prix) are much closer to vertical.  All of this means the quarter windows on the Monte are unique to it, and totally different than the Cutlass Supreme.  In short, you can transplant the roof from the Monte onto the Cutlass to convert it to a Supreme, but for it to be correct you need to use the Cutlass's B-pillars, which in this case would mean rebuilding the top of the one on the passenger side.

The other problem if you want to convert it to a Supreme is that in 1974 the Supremes had totally different header panels and grilles compared to the Cutlass S, and parking lights in the header panel instead of the bumpers.  Boils down to an awful lot of work if you want to convert it.  My apologies if you're already aware of all this...
