Chrischu33 Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Hey there, finished this one off before I head off to University next year. Not happy with the windshield fitting at all, even though this is a simple kit, the parts don't fit really well. Gave up half way but finished it off yesterday. Duplicolor met. green and wet look clear. Added chrome trim (huge headache) and did something with the tailights. Also added seatbelts and a mirror for more realistic. Thanks for checking it out.
MGL Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 (edited) Looks good, what did you use for the chrome? That sure doesn't look like foil, too smooth and reflective. Very sharp. Edited April 24, 2016 by MGL

I got some cheap tape like this https://www.google.ca/search?q=chrome+tape&espv=2&biw=1920&bih=947&site=webhp&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwifu--UrqjMAhUGKx4KHaXVD9MQ_AUIBigB#imgrc=Nz4AQtjCL3HBzM%3A at a dollar store and cut them into size by first using some masking tape as a template. It takes lot of time, patience and effort however it sticks on pretty well.
Hubert Rollins Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 Nice model- good work on Granny's car. Good paint, nice details on the interior.
Tom Geiger Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 Very nice! My aunt and uncle had that same car in green! Love the details you added, the shoulder belts really make the model!
Agent G Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 Very nice! Great attention to detail. I'd like to know why you painted and foiled the tail lights like you did. G

Intmd8r Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 Nice, clean, and shinny - makes for a great build! Add a couple of dood dings and some scrapes on the bumpers, it would look like every other Vic parked at my local Wal Mart! Seriously - nice work
Agent G Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 DIdn't really like how the tailights look originally so I decided to change it up a bit.Makes sense to me!Again, very, very good work.G
Jeepxj Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 But,it still has a police package under that car.I owned a few in marked Crown Vics.Fast cars. And I have to tell u that the seat belt detailing is wild.In one pic,I had to look closer to see if it was a real car.The chrome on the belts in the back seat, looks great. Thanks for the tip.
