hi all,

I seen on the general heading the revell is supposed to be releasing a car trailer soon...is it the red trailer?...the one in the 70's chev van kit?........Chris

Not 100% sure, but I believe the car trailer you are talking about is the auto transport semi trailer, and its getting another run in June.

I wonder if we could talk them into releasing the trailer that came with the Midget a couple years ago as a separate kit? I can see it as the basis for a lot of interesting projects, i.e. small time drag or Bonneville teams, local short track racers hauler, utility trailers and such. I would guess the mold is already paid for, so maybe just the cost of packaging.... Just a thought!

I picked up one of the Midgets when they were on fire sale at Ollie's several months back, and the first thing I did was bust it open and inspect the trailer for repurposing. Man it's a smaller trailer...it might make a base for a small utility trailer of something but you're not hauling an actual car with it unless it's something like a Fiat or a Mini Cooper...and I mean the 1960s kind. Those Midgets are a lot smaller in person than they appear built up online.

I wished there was more trailers available, even that small trailer would be a great extra one to use for what we wanted.I bought the testors trailer... (car) for pattern to use to make a styrene one instead of metal but I think its abit big for 25 scale.Ibuild my own from ones out there in 1/1.problem is axles and tires an rims...Chris .

AMT has a decent twin axle trailer as well. It came in some of the combo kits with the '53 {modified stocker and diamond in the rough) and '76 Ford trucks as well as a blueprinter reissue by itself. There's some on the big auction site right now.

It should be ideal to use as a trailer for the new dirt bike kits from AMT.

Revell had a pretty nice tandem axle car trailer that was last released with the Edmunds Super Modified kit, the one with the car painted red on the box. I think it was also issued as a race team hauler with a Chevrolet van kit once.

Yes, it showed up in several issues.  Also, the AMT 76 Caprice has a single axle trailer.N1-4.thumb.JPG.4bb46cb804232354e4d97087a
