Does any body here uses this website to watch  old TV Series?  I want to watch the Movin On series but was  wondering if it is a safe web site.  They charge 0.99 cents per episode using a credit card.

I've got Norton 360 and it checks internet sites and shows a "This page is safe" when I checked it out. Usually if I go to an unsafe site Norton will block it.

Now I don't know what other junk like ads they may throw at you though.

Been working through all eight seasons of Mannix on DVD lately.

I own the entire original Star Trek series on DVD. I also have the Twilight Zone, Supercar, Stingray, Lost in Space, Batman, The Time Tunnel, and some Voyage to the Bottom of Sea. Plus more. And I'm thinking about adding Route 66 to my collection. So I guess I like old TV.

Sad to hear that Alan Young of Mr. Ed fame, passed away yesterday. Though he was 96.

If you like Supercar, you'll like Planet Patrol (Space Patrol in the U.K.)

I've got quite a few TV shows on DVD too. Catching up on Highway Patrol and Sea Hunt now, as well as Peter Gunn.

Do you have Mr. Lucky or M Squad?

I have a boxed set of 600 TV western episodes including

Annie Oakley, Jim Bowie, Cisco Kid, Death Valley Days, Frontier Doctor, Roy Rogers,Lone Ranger, Judge Roy Bean, Wyatt Earp, Stories of the Century (Jim Davis), Shotgun Slade, 26 Men, Fury, Hawkeye, Bonanza, The Deputy, Wagon Train, Sgt. Preston, Kit Carson, Northwest Passage, Buffalo Bill Jr, Range Rider, Rifleman, Bat Masterson, Sky King, StoneyBurke, Sugarfoot, Brave Eagle, Sheriff of Cochise, Adventures of Champion, and a few more.

But there are tons from the later '50s and '60s that aren't here, like Gunsmoke, Cheyenne, Maverick, High Chaparral, and so on. Once upon a time in trivia games, I could name 156 western series from the old days.

Nope, never even heard of the first one. My collection at the moment, is a strange mix of older and newer, like Tales from Tomorrow and Rockford Files.

Shotgun Slade is unusual for it's use of jazzy music

Mr. Lucky was based on an old Cary Grant movie. The star, John Vivyan, was cast mostly because he had Cary's cleft chin. Worst TV version in a similar vein: David Soul as Rick Blaine (Bogart) in "Casablanca." Somebody needs to try again.

Did Cary Grant ever ask for it back?

Mr. Lucky

I picked up the set on iOffer for 6 bucks. Another great show was "Mike Hammer", the '58-'59 series starring Darren McGavin. "Naked City" was a great NYPD show Starring James Franciscus, in the first season, Paul Burke in Seasons 2-4, Harry Bellaver and Horace McMahon.

My wife and I are HUGE fans of the old Robin Hood TV series- we have the whole series on DVD and watch 3-4 episodes a night. Consequently, we've gotten into archery and have 6 vintage longbows and a little archery range set up in the backyard. That's also how I discovered the horn cups, as the outlaws would be drinking from them while hanging out at the outlaw camp in Sherwood Forest. Some writers of the show were members of the "Hollywood 10" who were blacklisted during the McCarthy era and moved to Britain.

The Naked City series was one of the best ever to be seen on TV. Another good one was Arrest and Trial with Frank Converse, the first series to be shot with hand-held 16 mm cameras. Gritty.

"Danger Man/Secret Agent" and "The Prisoner", starring Patrick McGoohan are worth getting if you like spy shows.

What do New York Yankee legend Whitey Ford and Patrick McGoohan have in common?

Great show! "Law & Order" ripped off the format. Another iOffer bargain deal for 9 bucks.

The only shows I have with McGavin, is the first season of Kolchak; the night stalker.

You reminded me that I have at least one season (possibly two), of The Saint. The Fugitive is another that I have almost a complete collection of; only one season to go, as far as I recall. I have some Maverick, Gunsmoke, Bonanza, The Rifleman too, as well as Big Valley and Rawhide.

The Complete Gunsmoke (all 635 episodes plus 5 TV movies) can be had for 50 bucks at iOffer. I love that site. Better than eBay for certain things. :)

I have the complete Prisoner series but not Danger Man. I always thought MacGoohan should have been Bond. But he was a very religious man and didn't want to deal with the Bond girls.

They have never been in my kitchen

Aside from that, both were born within a block of each other in Astoria, New York. A lot of people don't know that Patrick Mcgoohan was an American by birth.

I did not know that

He was in the Adventures of Sir Lancelot

One can watch the Prisoner for free on YouTube. I took the some time last night and rewatched the first episode. Still holds up pretty well. Enough to want to watch the other 16 episodes again in the near future.

This site is safe- and VERY COOL TOO!

In addition to Movin On, Proclassictv.com has My Favorite Martian, which I loved growing up!

in fact, I have a model I bought and assembled recently, of the space ship that the character

flew in at the beginning of the episode! Its made by Pegasus Hobbies and was easy to build.
