V8 Trucker Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 I have rarely seen such a clean successful conversion
echo Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Nice model, like the fact that you put windows all around too.
Spex84 Posted June 9, 2016 Author Posted June 9, 2016 Thanks all! I can't take credit for the toothpaste cap idea, I got the idea from a build on another forum in 2009 or so. Wish I could remember who it was...Now that the Revell '29 roadster has such nice brake drums, the toothpaste caps seem crude in comparison...but they sure are cheap!!
modelfink Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 I love all the cool free stuff around the house that works on models, especially with kit prices being what they are.
Tyler62990 Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Man, that is just perfect. I really like the grill and the interesting engine choice. Flatheads, Hemis, and SB Chevys are cool and all, but those old straight 6s just have an undeniable cool factor. I want to do one similar to this, but with an old Hudson engine. Those were just too neat looking to keep hidden by hoods and fenders.
Plastheniker Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Super clean, great colour choice and paintwork!
Robberbaron Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 Super clean, traditional looking build.Awesome tip on the toothpaste caps, as well!
Jantrix Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 That is a fantastic model. Very well done. I dig everything about it.
