AC Norton Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 .....you say, thanks for looking,,,,however Roger, thanks for sharing. love 73-4 Duster super stockers from the era, this car, all the Hamburger cars, Mancini Racing, and all the rest. terrific work here, and a killer project idea that I myself have pondered a dozen times. great to see one of these so nicely executed...........the Ace....
Marlowe Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 That's just a really well done and executed model. The stance makes it look like a 1:1.
AZ Boy Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 You're on a roll, Roger! Man, that looks great. Well done sir.
dragcarz Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Very nice, thanks for sharing. Was this a vintage kit or resin?
Daddyfink Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Oh that is nice! Great job and thanks for sharing!
1972coronet Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 Man , that is nice !! Is that a '73 340 ? '74 360 ? Just wondering about the SS/L class ; seems to be in line with a 340 or 360 of '73 or '74 vintage ( Judy Lily's Dart was in SS/KA ) .How was that resin to work with ?
caine440 Posted June 19, 2016 Author Posted June 19, 2016 From the Ramchargers book it was a 74 360 that was a class L. I believe it was bumped to K the next year. The fact that is was a 4 speed is really cool to me. They broke the Class L and K records several times and won the tough division 3 Super stock title. They then went on to build a W2 powered E/G Dart Sport that won at the US nationals in 78.The casting was very clean and easy to work with. Would buy another in heart beat. Thanks!

That casting appears to be from Competition Resins . I know that you bought it via eBay , so my guess that it's from C.R. is pure speculation . Where did you get the Motor Wheels Flys ?
caine440 Posted June 20, 2016 Author Posted June 20, 2016 I think the cast is from SMH. I have used several bodies from Competition Resin and this one was different.http://stores.smhracing.com/74-duster/If my old brain recalls the wheels were from SMBC.Thanks
6bblbird Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 Buying resin from e Bay with seeing it in person is risky but that Duster body looks great! The finished car is fantastic! Looks spot on!WF
bogger44 Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 Another outstanding build, Roger. I always enjoy seeing your builds and looking forward to whatever will be coming next.
Jeepxj Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Very nice car.Great job.It definitely plays the part of those old Pro Stock classes, from back in those days.
