Bob Ellis Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 I took me 2 years but finally got it assembled today. 1958 annual Ford grafted onto the front of an original 1957 Revell Ranchero kit
72 Charger Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 Really nice build Bob. I like you garage dio too .
Bob Ellis Posted June 26, 2016 Author Posted June 26, 2016 The garage is a Buddy L Texaco station from 1960
72 Charger Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 I have never heard of a Buddy L Garage but its very nice. It has given me inspiration to get my garage built thanks
Bob Ellis Posted June 26, 2016 Author Posted June 26, 2016 I have never heard of a Buddy L Garage but its very nice. It has given me inspiration to get my garage built thanksSold through Texaco dealers back in 1959- 1961. The show up on Ebay.
Bob Ellis Posted June 27, 2016 Author Posted June 27, 2016 The supercharger hits the hood, something I only discovered after completion. When you re-engineer a kit, it happens.
Maindrian Pace Posted June 28, 2016 Posted June 28, 2016 Very nice Bob, I see you lengthened the doors and roof to proper 2 door proportions. A 3/4 front view would be nice to see.
ChrisBcritter Posted June 28, 2016 Posted June 28, 2016 Sold through Texaco dealers back in 1959- 1961. The show up on Ebay. Yep. They usually sell in this price range: It would be cool to see one with a full interior detail job done on it.
unclescott58 Posted June 28, 2016 Posted June 28, 2016 Interesting idea. I'd like to more photos. From the photos you presented its really hard to see if it's a '57 or a '58. Workmanship looks good from what I can see. And those Buddy L gas stations where very cool. I wonder what happened to Buddy L? And were the dies are for that gas station?
Bob Ellis Posted June 30, 2016 Author Posted June 30, 2016 I have lots of build photos. It might be easier to send them by Facebook as bandwidth is small here. Buddy L turned the station into a Buddy L gas generic station . Really ruined it too.

unclescott58 Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 wasn't the texaco gas station kit just reissued this year? By the way nice build up Bob!Similar, but not the same station. And I reality the newer station is probably a more realistic.
