bbowser Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 Latest off the bench is this Alfa Romeo Gran Sport, 1931. It's an old Union / Airfix kit, curbside no engine or much chassis detail. I figured it would be an easy slump-buster. Wrong! Cycle fenders are not fun. I did enjoy building it, comments welcome as always. Thanks for looking.
sjordan2 Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 (edited) Superb. Looks like the perfect rosso corsa color, but the lighting is a bit dark. Great job on a lightly detailed kit. Edited July 20, 2016 by sjordan2
wayne swayze Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 Great looking car! Nice to see these classics from that period and yours is sweet!
Hubert Rollins Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Not my type of car, but it is a very nice build!!
bbowser Posted July 22, 2016 Author Posted July 22, 2016 Thanks for all the kind comments. I've really gotten fond of these older classics.
CometMan Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 I've really gotten fond of these older classics. They really are quite mesmerizing, aren't they, Bruce?! Especially when you get up close to the full-sized ones! I've often found myself, at large, well-known shows, being embarrassed FOR some poor, uneducated guy, who thinks that the automobile was invented in 1964, while I listen semi-patiently to him breathlessly try to impress me with how "rare" and "special" his Mustang or Camaro is!!
Dave B Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 Great build Bruce, a set of photo etched wires would really set it off!! Dave B
