gatorincebu Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Really awesome job on that interior ! Be Well Gator
Can-Con Posted November 7, 2016 Author Posted November 7, 2016 I've been directing more of my free time to my 1/1 project lately so it's been slow going on the models. I have done a bit more on the pickup though. I added some rub strips on the bumpers with sheet plastic cut into strips and painted semigloss black. And I've done up the alternator and power steering pump on the engine. I want to add more detail to this one than I usually do.I didn't like the look of the belt assemblies I could find so I made my own by cutting the pullys free from a couple parts box pieces and making the belts with some small Evergreen strips.
mustang1989 Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 (edited) I like the looks of that engine. Great work on the color, metal/ aluminum look of the inake and the ignition system and belts. Nice work. Edited November 10, 2016 by mustang1989
Can-Con Posted November 12, 2016 Author Posted November 12, 2016 Added a little extra detail to this one than I usually do.

Can-Con Posted December 4, 2016 Author Posted December 4, 2016 Getting down to final details now. Hope to have it finished later in the week or next weekend.
kilrathy10 Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 This just keeps getting better and better and better......Excellent work.....
gonzo64nova Posted December 25, 2016 Posted December 25, 2016 Nice job on the step side,I really like your choice of wheels.
Ron Hamilton Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 I love that truck. Those old MPC late '70's/Early '8's Chevies are very scarce. I was able to restore a '78 a couple of years back, and I was able to get my hands on an unbuilt '78, and an '80. I want to do a '80 Fleetside 2wd one day, but these kits are too valuable to cut up. I'll figure something out. I picked up a set of Fireball Resins' excellent 6-Lug Rally wheels for an '84.
FredRPG Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 If you have the time could you post some details on your headlight castings. I've been experimenting with different molds but just can't get them right, they look too toy like. Yours look have the look I'm trying to get.
Can-Con Posted October 6, 2017 Author Posted October 6, 2017 Thanks again everyone, Here's a link to the finished truck,,
