I usually never make drag versions, or anything but slightly enhanced stock but about halfway into making a Superstock Dart I figured, the hell with it - Bright blue 426 HEMI Dart it is. Also the first time I ever really spray-painted my model, other 50 or so I always painted by hand(brushes and Humbrol enamel paint just feel better with me, dont know why), think the benefits of spraypaint clearly show though.

Tire decals are by Fireball Models(drag slick decals are from the '70 Torino GT kit). All the chrome details are done by a Edding 780 and 750 acrylic chrome pen, which are an amazing alternative to the foil which I can't get my hands on for a decent price in my area.

Pretty nice overall, but I would add the coil wire, chrome on the GTS badges on the front fenders, and battery cables.

Also... not sure why you painted the ignition wires, but you missed a few spots.

Nice,  Id like to know more about the Chrome pen,   are they available in the states  ?

Seems like they're available on Amazon.com for around 5 to 8 dollar, not sure if they're common though.

And to Harry, I had to paint over the cables cause for some reason they were black when I ran 'em through the engine but became largely white after a day or so(maybe some chemical in the enamel paint, but man it was weird). So I had to paint over 'em, thought the red looked decent and went with it but I couldnt reach half the stuff without coating half the engine in red D:

I know what you feel. Foil here in Brasil is not that hard to find, but the price... Well, suffice to say one can get a kit for the cost of one envelope of foil. I wouldn't mind, and didn't until BMF had a drop in quality, and my foil work resulted all orange peely. It's the glue on the foil that is applied leaving orange peel that will show on the foil job. To go around this, I started making my own foil with simple household aluminum foil, and gold leaf bond.

Have a video about it if you feel interested.

Hey NJ - love the Dart! I noticed Edding don't list a chrome color on their site only silver - I'm assuming thats what you are using?

Sorry my bad, yeah it's silver. Though it's so unbelievably shiny it may as well be chrome D:
