tiking Posted August 13, 2016 Posted August 13, 2016 I am not sure what I want to do with this little diorama but I might just add a Technical with a couple of figures or find some other theme. But so far, this is what I have on hand. Still a little more work to do on it.
tiking Posted August 13, 2016 Author Posted August 13, 2016 (edited) so far so good. Edited August 14, 2016 by tiking
Jim B Posted August 13, 2016 Posted August 13, 2016 Nice looking setting, Charles. What's up with the dude with the blindfold?
tiking Posted August 14, 2016 Author Posted August 14, 2016 ok thanks. Jim, the scene takes places in Libya. The graffiti I guess shows a rebel doing the warrior scream, I guess.
GlueTube Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 Are you using plaster slabs for the structure and side walk? RegardsBrian Kroon
tiking Posted August 23, 2016 Author Posted August 23, 2016 (edited) Are you using plaster slabs for the structure and side walk? RegardsBrian KroonNo. Everyrhing, including the sidewalk, road and building structure are basically poster-board which has a foam material sandwiched between two very thin paper. Then I just spread some wall filler in very thin layers in some areas. Edited August 23, 2016 by tiking
tiking Posted August 30, 2016 Author Posted August 30, 2016 Sorry about the wait guys. I have taken this dio to where I have decided to let it be as is. I have already started on another dio. So I am leaving it as it is and calling it quits. If anyone is interested in this dio I am willing to sell it for about $45. Let me know. Otherwise I am going to just dismantle it and use it for spare parts.
misterNNL Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 Rather than tear it apart and/or destroy it you might consider simply repainting the wall surfaces to eliminate the graffiti and reinvent it as something like a small business like a speed shop.
tiking Posted September 24, 2016 Author Posted September 24, 2016 Thanks. I will leave it as a simple display base for small vehicle I will build later on. Thanks for the suggestion.
christian-w Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 Nice one! It Looks so easy to build. Well done!
