digby Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Kept it simple, hand painted acrylic and a change of wheels regards Digby
Snake45 Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 Especially nice considering it's brush-painted. Well done!
Chrischu33 Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 Can I know how you brush painted it without showing brush strokes? Did you have any clear above it? Because it looks really impressive!!!!

Chris, steps to get a good paint job good prep is vital ,good acrylic paint, mixed well and thinned to flow rather than drip ( I use Jo Sonja products) ,good brush I use a synthetic sable filbert. The most important steps- many thin coats, let the paint flow gently on to the surface and don't try to push the paint once it starts to dry. On this car I clear coated with 3 coats of Jo Sonja satin varnish brushed on, For a high gloss I find Tamiya rattle cans work well.
