JLewis Posted February 9, 2017 Author Posted February 9, 2017 This thread didn't seem to catch many people. I want to thank those who did offer comments. Here is the finished product. I was happy to make everything fit under the body work.
Belugawrx Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 Very Nice work Jim !I don't know how I missed this thread but I have bookmarked it for future reference on the wire sizing....Cheers, and thanks for the tips
Miatatom Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 I've got 2 of those in my stash. I've heard they aren't the easiest kit to build.
bytownshaker Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 Jim the beast turned out beautiful. I'm sorry more people didn't realize what a workshop you were putting on for us, I learned a lot. I love all forms of motor sports especially LeMans prototypes and GT cars, CanAm and Pro Stock drag cars. Thank you for inspiring me to pull mine back off the shelf and get back to work on it. Edgar
EL LOCO Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 This has turned out very nice. Well done. Nice work
BrianC Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 Beautifully done Jim,I missed this too - however I will be saving the info you have generously provided as I have one of each of the McLarens and several Grand Sports to build. All will benefit from the info in this build.Thank you for taking the time to illustrate your techniques and to explain the build so well. A great reference for use with many other subjects too.
mustang1989 Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 Dang Jim. Your attention to detail brought forth by your imaginative fabrication and resourcefulness are just simply amazing! Detailing on a good budget. Right on brutha!!! I'm already looking for those hex beads!!
warra48 Posted May 24, 2020 Posted May 24, 2020 Great topic. I have this kit, and it's moved well up on my list of projects to tackle next. This thread will be very helpful.
