Ognib Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 (edited) A friend of mine is deeply involved with both nitro & electric cars. He's turned me on to a bunch of random parts...an older OS max CZ engine, a drive unit, front & rear suspension bulkheads etc. I'm fabbing a chassis & cage for it...a sprint/drift kinda no body buggy. Looking for a good forum where I can participate & learn...any suggestions...wish this site had a rc section...I like it here. Edited September 5, 2016 by Ognib
Hawk312 Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 I do a little with RC. I have several Sandhornets (Sand Scorcher body with Hornet chassis) and a Midnight Pumpkin or two. One of them has a 4800KV brushless setup, and I was running it with a 3s lipo. It pretty much just careened out of control until it hit something...not much steering. Anyway, try this one: http://www.rctech.net/forum/ It`s a pretty busy forum, especially the for sale section. I also like the Tamiya forum: http://www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/index.php?/ Hope this helps!
Joe Handley Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 I've kinda gotten out of it after leaving the HTU I worked at, but I was into it pretty big until then.
Xingu Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 I used to race 1/8 scale on-road. There used to be an east coast series of races, Mid-Atlantic Championship (MAC). I had a lot of fun doing that. Had some spectacular 60 mph crashes as well. Ahh, the good 'ol days.
