cobraman Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 Decided to build this one next. Going for an AWB car. I moved the rear wheel wells forward about 5/16 of an inch. Frame and floor pan have also been shortened and are out in the garage in primer. Also in the process of modifying the door panels. Little more putty and sanding needed on the wheel wells.
Nytrozilla Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 I luvs me some AWB's. I also love unusual too. Don't see an AWB wagon very often. I found 2 on the Googlenet.
bobthehobbyguy Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 Love it. Looking forward to seeing more.
cobraman Posted October 4, 2016 Author Posted October 4, 2016 Made some progress on this one. Body was painted Graphite Dust. Still needs decals and clear. Body work on the rear wheel wells could have been better. ( story of my life ) : ) I swapped out the kit front tires for a couple from my parts box.
bogger44 Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Very cool project Ray! Love the colors and keep up the great work!
bobthehobbyguy Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Great color choice. Looking forward to more.
Jmaracing Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Looking good Ray. That's one of my favorite colors. Can't wait to see more!!
cobraman Posted October 7, 2016 Author Posted October 7, 2016 Getting close to finishing this one. I built the suspension stock so not sure why the rake is so sever. Something to do with my altering the rear wheel wells ?? I guess I could raise the rear end but hate to start messing with it so close to it being done. Also my order of BMF has not arrived so I did not do window trim. Think of it as a custom with the trim painted. : )
cobraman Posted October 7, 2016 Author Posted October 7, 2016 Thanks guys, tempted to raise that rear end a bit.
10thumbs Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Ray you don't need to raise the rear, the car looks like it just got the green light and took off. Great weight shifting, this is what drag cars are all about.
