The boot wire that MAD includes is black. I've searched high and low at local electronic outlets, hardware stores etc. Trying to find some tan and gray solid core wire in that gauge, to use for MSD and Accel plug wires. I was told I would probably not find any that size. Any suggestions?? Even tried to use some old land line phone wire.

Hiroboy in the uk sell grey wire. Or if you have an old x-box controller with a cord it has a lighter grey and a sort of tan colour wire in the cord

The last hobby/train shop in my area is closed. I'm just grateful my local hardware store, where I go now carries kits, all Tamiya paints, X-Acto, etc. He has no wire this size.

sometimes if you go to the dollar store they sell different gauge wire also

Not sure what size you need but check out Walmart for wire they show some in 22 and 24 Ga.

No gray or tan, but these folks have Red, Black, White, Yellow, Blue, and Green.

Ebay, search 30 awg wire. Lots of colors available.

10 ft each of 10 different colors for 6 bucks. Likely never run out. 10-12 inches per model average in my experience.

The wire came today, but it wont work for what I'm trying to achieve. The wire is the same gauge as the MAD ignition wire, NOT the boots. At least I got some cool colored wire for other uses on a model.
