Harry P. Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 (edited) Is this a real Bugatti? Is that a real swimming pool behind it? Are those real trees behind the pool? Is this really happening? The answer : MODEL! Edited May 9, 2008 by harrypri
VW Dave Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 I say 'model.' The trees and pool look real, but something tells me the car isn't.
Ronster Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 Is this a real Bugatti? Is that a real swimming pool behind it? Are those real trees behind the pool? Is this really happening? The answer FRIDAY! You'd think I'd know, since i was either staring at this one or one alot like it Sunday at Blackhawk! But nope, no guess...
Fleetside Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 I say 'model.' The trees and pool look real, but something tells me the car isn't. I second that.
george 53 Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 Ok HARRY,your really pullin some stuff now.Just because I'm growin leery of how you work, I'll go with model this time. Not cause it doesn't look real(It surely does) But It's time you changed your tactics, so I'm figurin nows the time, unless your usin phic, pshyc, sico, unless your playin mind games! you got me on this one kiddo!
Zoom Zoom Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 Oh it's real all right. As to what scale it is, well...it was kind of obvious to me. But it's still fun to read what other people see and don't see
Biscuitbuilder Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 I'm gonna go a bit farther, and say that it's the Pocher 1/8 scale Profile Coupe. Biscuitbuilder
george 53 Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 Art, Why do you always gotta complicate already complex things? I didn't even know Pocher made a 1/8th Bugatti. Oh well,Live an learn!
mikemodeler Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 Looking closely and I finally realized that the pool and background are real but the car is definitely a model. The scale size of the pool edging doesn't match the car. I think I might actually be two-for-two. Mike
kelson Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 I've been wrong last two times but ,i'm gonna say model.
Biscuit Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 I say real. The drivers side window is rolled about half way down. I'm not shure if windows can be modeld that way though.
MrObsessive Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 I say real. The drivers side window is rolled about half way down. I'm not shure if windows can be modeld that way though. Welcome aboard Jeff! Pocher's are noted for their roll up windows. There are certain giveaways to this one though..............
slant6 Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 I say model. Something about the windsheild, not sure what.
OutLaw Tucker Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 Im gonna say this is a model just becuase of the way the door handle and the trim around the window look
Harry P. Posted May 9, 2008 Author Posted May 9, 2008 I'm gonna go a bit farther, and say that it's the Pocher 1/8 scale Profile Coupe. Biscuitbuilder Correctamundo!!! It's a model. You guys were on to me... Next ROM coming MONDAY!
MrObsessive Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 Ahh! I got one right! One of the giveaways for me was the headlights not quite lined up parallel to each other. Particularly the one on the passenger side seems to "tilt up" somewhat. I doubt a real Bugatti worth millions would have such an error like that, but millionaires can be eccentric!
