landman Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 Practicing detailing à la Ken Smith on an eBay NTC350.
kilrathy10 Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 Definitely looking pretty cool.....I like that engine stand you put it on, as well.....Very cool....
landman Posted January 7, 2017 Author Posted January 7, 2017 Definitely looking pretty cool.....I like that engine stand you put it on, as well.....Very cool.... That is the stand I had made for the 702.
landman Posted January 7, 2017 Author Posted January 7, 2017 Not being sure of what the bare crankshaft end looks like I printed a photoreduced flywheel. I added nuts which may be too big and blackened the "holes". The washer will raise it a bit to give it some depth.
kilrathy10 Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 Man, that is some cool detail.....A photo etched fly wheel....Never even would have thought of that.....Amazing....
landman Posted January 7, 2017 Author Posted January 7, 2017 Man, that is some cool detail.....A photo etched fly wheel....Never even would have thought of that.....Amazing....Not photo etched JT, just a reduced photo. Looks real doesn't it?
kilrathy10 Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 Not photo etched JT, just a reduced photo. Looks real doesn't it?It does look good....Very nice idea....
landman Posted January 7, 2017 Author Posted January 7, 2017 I had done the same thing with the M.A.N. engine which I didn't want to display with the transmission.
landman Posted January 8, 2017 Author Posted January 8, 2017 Here's what I came up with using Ken Smith's article. I'll have to work on my "neatness" if that's a word. Played with camera settings as well. Hope you guys enjoy it.
landman Posted January 9, 2017 Author Posted January 9, 2017 I always like looking at your engines! After seeing the one in your White 7400 I should hide this one.
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 After seeing the one in your White 7400 I should hide this one. Thanks for the complement, but you have a way of making your builds look real!
