A lot of the '63 boxes were sort of "generic." I think I have both Corvettes and IIRC they're only pictured on the ends, and that might be a stick-on label. I'll try to take another look at them tonight.

Yes AMT had the Generic "Pick-Up" kit box

You had to look at te end to see which itwas

Same for some of the annuals

Especially in the "Advanced Customizing Series"

Impala & Galaxie used the same box art

Remember, AMT did not print up Individual boxes for

the first few years of kit production!

Another Error from Jo-Han

their 69 Road Runner Annual included Decals for Richard Petty

He jumped to Ford that year as Chrysler would not let him change over

to Charger for use of their Daytona, And Plymouth Did Not have plans for a twin

Petty went back to Plymouth for 70 as they added their Winged Warrior the Superbird

The one thing I've always wondered is what is it with the redesigned AMT boxes in the early 2000s? To me at least, they made the kits look really bad compared to earlier boxart. An example:

Dodge Ram snap kit

Don't remember Plymouth making a Duster with a Dodge grille.  It's hard to see on the box top, but it does say Dodge.

MPC has been having this "Dodge Duster" problem since the '80s.

Every Revell 90's impala ss I've had, has the rear bumper and wing top trim for a 57 chevy on the chrome tree

That is probably because the Impala uses many of the same pieces (chassis, engine, etc.) as the Alternomad kit, which is a late model custom Impala with '57 Chevy rear quarter-panels.
