I am about to start on the next trio of engines for the display stand in my dio shop. This one will be a Latham blown Lincoln, an Ardun headed Ford and either an injected nailhead or a Potvin something, maybe SBC.

What does one call a trio like that? Classic, vintage,or  traditional hot rod? I'm open to eclectic and interesting suggestions.

I would have to think Vintage since these all were popular in the mid to late years of the last century. That really makes it sound like long ago doesn't ??

It is long ago.

Fronty for T 4 is in AMT 27 T touring. Unaware of any for 8, never saw a 1:1, did they do them?

IMO don't do SBC in that bunch. Injected early Olds/Caddy/Nailhead, or Scot on the Ardun. Potvins cool, maybe early Hemi? Red Ram from A kit and bits from Double Dragster AMT's?

Like the idea, I've got a ton of engines sitting around. If I get some done, I'll get matching cars done too.

Started on the Lincoln 430. Drilled out the spark plug holes, the exhaust ports, the fuel line holes in the carbs. Dechromed everything.

As per Christian's suggestion, I rooted around and found a junk DeSoto hemi. It'll receive the Potvin.

One down, two to go. The Lincoln 430 with Latham supercharger is done. According to a discussion about this very engine which took place here several years ago, the engine is in fact a 430 of the MEL series but the valve covers are from another a Y-block, likely a 368.. Here it is with my enhancements. the fuel block is normally mounted on the firewall but I put it on the back of the block for obvious reasons. Hope you like it. On to the Early Hemi with the Potvin.

That old junk Hemi's appearance has already changed quite a bit. I had to add to the intake tubes  since that block is likely taller than the one on the Parts Pak. I have the wiring and the plumbing left to do.

Added the wiring and the headers. I 'm considering the fuel lines but can't seem to find a good illustration. I straightened the Latham as it was crooked on the previous pictures. I see a few things here I need to correct yet but we are close to what will go on the display stand.

I found that carb piece in my parts box, and wondered what it was. Now I have to see if the other parts are in there.

Which one John? the one on the Potvin?

Yes. I was going through a box of spare parts I found in our attic when I moved in and found those carbs. I'd never seen them before so I set them aside thinking I'd post a picture of them to find out. Now I wonder if the other part is in the box but I didn't know what it was.

I started a thread in the General about a junk yard built That I plan to do when I finish the 68 Charger I'm working on now. I think I'm I'm going to take a crack at doing a story around the build. That should be fun.

Pat, those look great. Really like the Desoto Hemi, it's out of an AMT 53 Ford P/u.

I've got one with a Latham in a 53 Stude, think I need to switch it to a Potvin. Lots of room. Glad idea suited, awesome execution
