Ben269 Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 (edited) I finished this one a few months ago. The only thing I wasn't happy with was the hood. I decided to cut out the vents in the back and replace with mesh. It doesn't look as nice as I was hoping. Otherwise, I like it. Edited January 26, 2017 by Ben269

Ben269 Posted January 26, 2017 Author Posted January 26, 2017 I made door handles and window cranks out of a toothpick and some styrene sheet and round stock.
oldcars Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 I don't know you would be unhappy. It looks pretty darn good to me.Richard
MAGIC MUFFLER Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 Great work on a T-Bolt..!!! I've worked on some real ones and love these cars.
Reeves Racing Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 I think it looks awesome. What do you use for plug wires?
gtx6970 Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 Well, if you dont care for it. send it my way and I will be more than happy to dispose of it properly for you.
DonW Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 Really lovely model, Ben. Would they really have stayed with that big fan for a quarter mile car though? Maybe bolt it back on along with the plates and the road wheels on the back to drive home...It draws you in like that, well done.-Don.
Ben269 Posted January 27, 2017 Author Posted January 27, 2017 Thanks for the comments. I used the Detail Master spark plug wire, but its the thinner stuff, and its harder to see on top of the valve covers. Probably should have used black. I never thought about the fan, and as many photos as I looked at, I can't remember what they had on them. Billy, what would they really have had? Also, would these have had roll bars? I thought about putting one in it, but I didn't see any in the pics I found.
W-409 Posted January 28, 2017 Posted January 28, 2017 Great job on that T-Bolt! I like the paint and decals and those little details really finish it off. Nice work on a great kit, I can't wait to finish mine one of these days!
bytownshaker Posted January 28, 2017 Posted January 28, 2017 Ben.. Great job on the mesh and the whole build is great!!!!
