Can't believe I've spent most of the day just doing the bmf on one of the interior side panels, also got the steering wheel fitted, the chrome on the horn ring was done using the liquid chrome pen

My first time airbrushing paint bought from MCW, absolutely brilliant paint to use, used through my Passche VL-S double action, also this is the first time I've done the paint fade on the floorpan, hopefully it looks something like it should, i could have painted it satin black, as underseal was an option at the factory, but I've been wanting to try this technique for a long time now, the bulkhead was painted a more glossy finish, now i can mask up the floorpan and chassis and get the interior built up, I'm looking forward to trying this paint out on the bodyshell

Textbook lesson on building this kit!  Looking forward to seeing the body in color!

Regarding the 300C convertible and '58 300D and '59 300E coupes and convertibles – Their most important difference from the '57 300 hardtop is a compound curved windshield that eliminated the overhang at the top.

Got the body and bonnet painted today, got the fuel tank masked ready for painting, the bodyshell will be left for a few days to dry out before getting a couple of coats of clearcoat

Howdy Geoff.

Nice to see ya doing some American Iron my friend. Great progress so far. Love the color.

I'll be doing more now I can get the paint, I have the 53 Hudson hornet, Studebaker Avanti, 49 Mercury woody wagon, an a few others,

Got the body and bonnet clearcoated, tested it on the spoon i had painted before doing the model, just to check if it was compatible, luckily it was, i will let this all dry out before wet sanding and polishing it, there's a couple of dust nibs that need removing, the wet sanding will sort that out

Started the wet sanding today, I didn't really have too much to do, as the paint finish is pretty good, so i decided to only sand out the dust nibs and polish the rest, i've removed all the dust nibs and so far polished out the roof panel,

Can't wait to see how it will look with all the chrome work foiled.

i think it's going to take quite a bit of bmf to do this one

I like how you fogged in the bottom of the floor.

its the first time I've tried this technique, I hope I've got it looking somewhere near correct
