WW2 Helmet Air Filter Covers?

I wondered about using one of those - would it be WAY too big though?  Anyone got one sitting aroundwho could give me an idea of size at all?

I wondered about finding a Lego man with a similar helmet on too, but same thing - it might be a bit too big...what scale are Legomen's heads?

Didn't AMT have some German Helmets as extra parts in some of their 60's cars?  If yes, Would they be too big?

Look for some very old TAMIYA 1/25 figures.  These were made back in the 1970s to go with the TAMIYA 1/25 tank kits.  An eBay search showed none selling recently, but I have seen them on eBay from time to time.

TAMIYA did these figures in both metal and plastic.  A pic of a metal figure is shown below.  The plastic and metal figures are identical except for the kit number (and material, obviously!).

The plastic 1/25 German figures I have are numbered as follows: PF0001 German MG-34 Machine Gunner; PF0003 German Wehrmacht Squad Leader; PF0004 German Artillery Officer.  The German helmets are separate parts in these figure kits.  So no need to hack out a face.

Another idea: find the figure sprue from the old TAMIYA 1/25 Tiger tank. It has a set of 4 German officers (scaled up from 1/35 figures) with 2 loose German helmets.

Look up 75 mm figures.  That is very close to 1:24 scale.  Should be able to find a fair number of choices.

There's one in the AMT '63 Corvette kit on the chrome tree. Pretty common kit.

I have something that should work in the pressure pot as I post. It'll just be the helmet for now, but I have an idea what air cleaner could go with it. I could send you a couple for $3 to cover the shipping.

Monogram's Rommel's Rod has both an officer cap and infantry steel helmet on the skeletons. A bit of silicon, some resin and you are on your way
