Last year I  posted about PACZKIS. Well just saw that February 28th is PACZKI DAY 2017!!

About a week ago they started popping up at my local supermarket (Jewel- Albertsons). I've already had 2 boxes!!!!!

Never heard of them. But it sounds like the tradition of fasnachts, which are only available on Shrove Tuesday.

Pączki? So you guys like Polish Dounuts?  I have hard time finding those in my neck of the woods.  The small Polish store I frequent sometimes has them but, they are usually stale.

You probably would probably also like makowiec and chruściki. :-)

When did Jewel start carrying those?! Mom and worked at the West Chicago Jewel/Osco and I don't remember those in the 4 years I was there ('92-'97) or them there when Mom retired in the late 00's.

I've seen them at the Jewel stores 'bout this time for the last few years now.
