Finished up the project. The term "Under Glass" is a bit grandiose, but here it is.

If you followed the "on the workbench" thread you will know that this project was to replicate my real truck (pictured below) as close as possible. Real 1/1 also was a V-8 4x4 built by my father and I back in 1978.

The kit was HTF, but a fellow modeler on this site dug it up for me. A thousand thank yous for that. I modified the running gear into a 3/4 ton because the kit one looked a bit small. I found some great tires/wheels over at Scenes Unlimited that worked perfect. I repainted the truck with Rustoleum Spa Blue which was pretty close to the real one.

Thanx for looking!

Very nice build!! It's always great to build a replica of something that you've had.

I had one of these as well, but it was still 4 cylinder Isuzu powered. It had a 2 inch body lift and a saws-all and sledge hammer allowed the tires to fit without rubbing.

Awesome Luv truck!
I recently found a photo of my Luv truck. Long bed, but not a 4x4 unfortunately.
