TonyW Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 (edited) Monograms ZZ Top '33 Coupe done as a kerbside model. Brush painted with Humbrol red enamel. The finish is OK at three feet. Get any closer and tiny bits of dust start to show. Enamel won't polish out, so this is as good as it gets for this build. It's slightly scary to think this model was released thirty three years ago! Billy seems to like it... Edited February 25, 2017 by TonyW picture error
PARTSMARTY Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 Looks real good and in the first picture I think it's cool sitting on top of -"PEARLY GATES"
Peter Lombardo Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 nice shot on the book page...... always thought that this car is the classic 33/34 Ford for me. looks great.
landman Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 Nice. It's neat to see it with ol'Billy as well.
Hmann68 Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 Very nice! 33 years? Wow to that! I got this kit too when it came out. Love the band and I love that book too. This car was responsible for a surge in street rod popularity after it became famous.
HotRodaSaurus Posted February 26, 2017 Posted February 26, 2017 (edited) Nice model, I built it in 1/32 for slot racing. The real thing looks as fresh today as it did then. Edited February 26, 2017 by HotRodaSaurus
