That's a really nice kit! The sprues can be a little intimidating.

Can't wait to see your progress.

Thanks Toast!

Sprue Shots - and yes there are a lot of them.

There is some mesh, a few decals, the rubber tyres look great, there are window masks too.

I have bought some P/E, but it will be the only mod, except maybe seat belts.

The body seems to be OK, but has some defects that need sanding out and filling in. It's also got a lot of moulding swirl marks that hopefully will not come through the primer...

One of my favorite models and model car stories.  I have two friends who are skilled builders and one year we decided to each build the same model using the same exterior paint(DuPont Corso Rosso).  We did them box stock and put all three of them on the table next to each other and then stood back and watched.  There was a lot of head scratching going on by judges and spectators alike.  Great fun.

By the way it builds up into a beautiful model.  Before you lavish a lot of time on engine detail, take a good look at photos of the real deal.  There is a lot that you can't see once it is in the body. Good luck!

Saw a Stradale version the other day in matt black and it looked killer with the stripe down the middle of the hood.

I built the coupe a long time ago and it was one of the best kits I had ever built.  It just FALLS together.  I also have the Spyder in my stash, and am looking forward to seeing yours done!

Made lots of progress. The reason it took so long was that for some reason I took ages to deal with the sink marks and seam lines by filling with different fillers. I ended up getting some Mr Putty, and it's not great, but moved on...

lots more to post soon.

Used alclad II for the aluminium & airbrushed X-18 for the chassis.

But used Tamiya silver for the engine cage.

Great Work, looking good! Have you decided on a colour yet?

I built the coupe version a few years ago, used a transkit to build the Stradale Version one of my fav models to date, will be staying glued to this.

Awesome start. What brand PE hose clamps are those?
