I originally chose this 206 against the factory ones for it's bright colours. It's been on the shelf for a few or more years, the Tamiya decals still being perfect. This is one I kept back from my sale of 30+ kits............

I made two changes to the build........the roof camera was not used on the 1:1 of this car but as it was in the kit I inculded it and I changed the grill with alloy mesh.

Nice build I really like the livery. Nice background diorama as well!

Thanks for the compliments FabbricaP. Yes this is certainly better looking than the official works factory cars, and the long decals suit me, with plenty of colour!

VERY nice!!! -another work of art!! -love these little cars!!

Thanks again Dann, I'm pleased I kept this one, rather than sell it! Yes just to think that little turbo-charged cars with just a 1.6 litre engine turn out nearly 300 brake horse power!

Thanks to afx who has PM'd me, the rear wing was upside down! What a twit am I, don't answer that.

Here it is all sorted.......................

Ya, I've even seen a "REAL" BMC Mini Cooper 1.3L put out 200HP with a supercharger!! -Saw it a few years back in Mini World Magazine.

Yes Dann we see quite a few testing at the Silverstone Race Circuit just 5 miles from here. Here's a picture of mine that looks at the Minisprint (slight roof chop and all rain gutters removed for greater aerodynamics) that was produced in the '60's. This shows  Stirling Moss having a look over it with the designer and product engineer before a one-off drive by Stirling.

It was thought to have parts if not most of a Brabham F3 engine in it, albiet only 1300cc. After the test drive Stirling was said to comment on how fast it was for a front wheel drive racer and he enjoyed himself immensely!

Thanks again afx. I will remember to look at the plans/boxtop a little closer next time!

Pat – why is this car smiling at me?

Just kidding - Nice work!

Had the pleasure of driving the stock version as a rental car in Germany/Austria a few years back while on a business trip.  It was surprisingly fun going through the corners up in the mountains.

Thanks Steve. Yes they are quite nimble as you say on mountain roads, imagine if you had 3 times the power!
