Yes those old Tamiya Slot car kits are pretty easy straightforward easy peasy

Yeah that is a converted slot car kit so you will find a few weird things about it

the 956 was a model always.

Yes it uses the Tamtech RC car body on a curbside chassis. For this reason the radiator intakes in the door are very shallow. I love this car. Looking forward to your build.

Oh, it makes sense to me now! I always wondered why those radiators inlets were like that - the Hasegawa 962 inlets are much better.

Thank you.  Front suspension completed not glued to chassis till dash is completed 

will add decals to dash after I BBQ dinner

What's always been a head scratcher for me is the inclusion of the rear brake cooler hoses on the 962 with the sealed rear body and the omission of them from the "full detail" 956 kit.

I do have a full detail one in my stash never noticed the omission when I opened it up.  Very odd
