WOW Jim. That looks fantastic. I was wondering who'd be the first to not paint one black. I was trying to think of a colour to go with....guess I'm not going with orange now. I just ordered mine the other day, looking forward to getting one now. Here's hoping it looks as good as yours.

I don't think anyone has posted a black Foose truck yet. There is another on here that is green. I'm not doing mine in black - not quite sure of the color yet, but black's not an option.

Is anyone actually planning on building this truck in black?

What is the deal with the bed floor? Have you just not applied the decal, or is that the final finish?

I guess the real question is, what is the bed floor finish on a factory original 56? I can't imagine Ford installing flawlessly finished shellacked flooring with chrome strips on the cheapest vehicles they made. I've been trying to remember and research without much luck.

Thanks Jim, it's still a work in progress, but I will be uing the kit decal, which has a wonderful wood-like finish.

If I ever get around to doing one I plan on doing it black as I like trying to replicate real vehicles I find pictures of. Since there's only one of these, there's only one to replicate!

Raw wood with painted strips, most likely.

Just finished mine in about three weeks. It was a fun build - paint is Tamiya Metallic Orange over a silver base.

How did you do the tailgate? I haven't gotten a kit yet, but I understand that it has the Foose logo molded in? Does  it come with the Ford decal you used or...?

Hi Russ, 

The Foose logo is on the outside of the tailgate. I sanded it down smooth, but what sometimes occurs with lacquer paint (and happened here) was a 'ghosting' effect of the logo that I couldn't polish out of the paint. Rather than repaint the tailgate, I thought it might be fun to put a 'Ford' logo there. The decal is from the Polar Lights Gas Ronda Mustang Funny Car kit.

Looks ok but there sure is a lack of Chrome ,some of the engine parts should have been chromed ! I`ll still have to get one when there cheaper !

Look at pics of the real Foose F100, there's very little chrome on it.
