I notice the wire wheels in the AMT '65 Riviera and Silhouette kits look very similar in photos; do the outer halves interchange? The inner halves seem to have longer axle tubes on the Riviera, but are they otherwise the same? These are from the Riviera; I don't have a shot of the Silhouette wheels:

The wires in the Italeri Ferrari GTO are also pretty nice.  I think the ones in Jo-Han's Cadillac V-16 and M-B 500k are the best of the era, but of course they won't fit any modern car.  Truth be told, most of the injection moulded wire wheels in this scale are pretty horrible, and the ones that aren;t form a very small group.

The outer half of each wheel has an odd-shaped pin that goes into a similarly shaped hole in the inner half.  That's to index the two halves so that the spokes are aligned properly.  Those pins/holes might be shaped differently between the two kits, but even if they are you should be able to make them work.

The Riviera wheels were widened at some point, by adding material to the back side of the outer half and lengthening that indexing pin.  They can be narrowed back to the original width if you are careful.

The wheels are exactly the same except the Riv wheels being wider, as Mark said. The Astro Customs in both kits are also the same.

Those are my wire wheel of choice. I have used them on several builds, changing the spinner, as I do not care for the one in the kit. Those wheels look remarkably similar to the Appliance Bolt on wire wheels from the '70's that my dad had on his '77 Continental Mark V. I have an unbuilt annual '65 Buick Riviera with the narrow set.

Ya an old friend of mine and myself over the years would look for Riviera kit cheap just to get the wheels, they have always been nice kit wheels
